No one wears an offbeat outfit better than Soo Joo Park. The model’s ability to take on tricky-to-pull-off trends has made her an essential part of both classically-minded Chanel shows, and kitschy Jeremy Scott runway presentations. Off-duty, Park’s wardrobe is the stuff of dreams, brimming with one-of-a-kind Chanel pieces, vintage sourced from around the globe, and an excess of statement accessories. Under normal circumstances, such bold fashion would be captured by street style photographers, but since the COVID-19 crisis began, Park has taken her eclectic approach to dressing indoors.
Currently at home in her New York apartment, the South Korea-born, California-raised model relies on uplifting colors and quality materials to stay comfortable. “I’m trying to keep my spirit up by wearing lots of pastel tones and bright shades,” Park shared with Vogue via email. “I only wear fabrics that stretch or are soft and luxurious to lounge all day in.” Her guidelines allow for variety—as long as there’s no denim. “Since the third day of quarantine, I haven’t touched any jeans,” she says. “They are usually my go-to.” Here, Park offers a recap of a week’s worth of looks, from breezy silk dresses to Zoom-worthy costume jewelry.

The idea of staging runway shows during global COVID-19-related lockdowns might seem impossible, but instead of giving up hope, the fashion industry is envisioning new ways to communicate in a time of crisis. This morning, the British Fashion Council announced a new version of London Fashion Week that will occur during the previously scheduled dates for London Fashion Week: Men’s of June 12 to June 14, 2020. Instead of physical shows, London Fashion Week will be entirely digital, with content rolling out on londonfashionweek.co.uk.
Caroline Rush, the chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said in a release, “by creating a cultural fashion week platform, we are adapting digital innovation to best fit our needs today and something to build on as a global showcase for the future. Designers will be able to share their stories, and for those that have them, their collections, with a wider global community; we hope that as well as personal perspectives on this difficult time, there will be inspiration in bucket-loads. It is what British fashion is known for.”
The types of content that might appear on LFW’s site could range from a digital lookbook to a brand video to a written-out designer Q&A or even a podcast. The diversity of the offering will be related to what designers are able to produce during self-isolation, and will also reflect a new strain of branding, marketing, and communication that has taken hold during the pandemic. Instagram Lives, social media posts, Zoom conferences, and direct-to-consumer e-tail have only become more integral to fashion brands during this lockdown period, showing that direct engagement with customers and fans is more essential than ever—especially if the stories shared come with a letting down of one’s guard. If fashion was once considered an exclusive industry, the quickness with which it has adapted to low-key, digital communication, like kitchen table livestreams and fan-submitted Q&As, has proven it to be highly adaptive and inclusive.
The LFW digital platform will also contain virtual showrooms, as per a release, that will help connect brands with retailers, adding a business component to the week. Rush also said, “It is essential to look at the future and the opportunity to change, collaborate and innovate. Many of our businesses have always embraced London Fashion Week as a platform for not just fashion but for its influence on society, identity, and culture. The current pandemic is leading us all to reflect more poignantly on the society we live in and how we want to live our lives and build businesses when we get through this. The other side of this crisis, we hope will be about sustainability, creativity, and product that you value, respect, cherish.”
YOGRAAJ SHARMA/ THE 24X7 NEWS | Kumar Rajesh, the producer-director of Mumbai Metropolis, made a short film "lockdown" for the current scenario. The special thing about the film is that all the artists who worked in this film, shot from their home and became a part of the film. The producer of this film, director Kumar Rajesh, told in a special conversation that in this time of lockdown, this is a better way that all the actors continue to make films while working from their home. Everyone liked this idea and prepared a story overnight and Kumar Rajesh sent the story to all the actors along with the direction notes. The artists also submitted the work online immediately, using the time properly and completing the work quickly. The work of video editor and actor Sahil Kumar started from here. The film was prepared following the direction of Kumar Rajesh in the sequence. Kumar Rajesh told that the purpose of the film was to send this message to the people that as our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Health Department have directed that everyone should stay in their homes and keep themselves safe using hand wash, sanitizer etc. . The only way to convey that message through cinema and through social media was to make a film on it This is the second short film on "Lockdown" made by Kumar Rajesh and made this film at home and named it "Lockdown". His first Lockdown short film "Live" made a lot of headlines, both the films were shot by mobile. The message was given by the film that if you do not stay at home, then you may be suffering from corona virus, the message is very positive, because of the crisis of corona disease today. I am going to be happy and positive even in the face of this crisis, it is just a matter of a few days, it will be a new dawn again and we will be liberated from corona forever, Sahil Kumar, Sunila Karmakar, Ashok Kalra have supported him in this film. , Mridula Oberoi, Aarti Joshi, Raj Kumar Kanaujia, Shilpa Gandhi Mohile, Garima Agarwal. Have also given their contributions.
YOGRAAJ SHARMA/THE 24X7 NEWS | I am Mridula Oberoi hail from Pathankot Punjab. I am post graduate in Computers. In past have served in education sector and banking sector. Presently I am actress which is my passion turned into profession. 1. What is That You Do? I am an actress who aims to entertain and inspire people. 2. What are you passionate about ( a particular art etc ) I am surly passionate about life. But if you ask about a particular art .. It’s is surly “Acting” and “Interacting with people.” 3. What struggles did you face Frankly I don’t ever use this word struggle at all. Life has different phases. Sometimes good and sometimes it may be bad and sometimes it may be suffocating or miserable... But that’s how life is.. A blend of all seasonЁЯШД I think it’s the thought process, how we humans think and take it ahead. 4. Could you describe in brief the entire journey of your passion ( right from what inspired you to choose your passion, choosing your passion, struggles that arose, how did you overcome the struggles, to till date Long story short .. What Inspired me is really a difficult question but yes what I remember is from my childhood days I was very fascinated by screen and always imagined myself there but never ever said that to anyone. Not even to my parents. So it was always there in my subconscious mind. And finally it came to me so strongly. So I think I was not deliberately giving this energy to the Universe but surly it was getting transferred to it and it came back to me ☺..You can say this was my hidden desire ЁЯШК. So it all started in year 2016 when I out of no where I filled an online form for Mrs India Earth. Got selected in finale, earned a title of Mrs India Earth Face Of North 2016. And I never realised that from an educationist to a banker will ever become a model and finally an actress . Again there were basically no struggles but surly since I was new in this profession so figuring out genuine people in the market was a big task. But then it is rightly said “Where there is a will, there is a way.” So I was focused and clear of what I have to do and God kept on guarding me and guiding me all my way till date . And I can’t forget to mention my family who’s been always so supportive and have stood by me. my husband believes in me more than him and that my biggest strength. If you have taken ur passion as your professional what inspired to do so I believe people who get to live there passion as profession are lucky ones. So I am one of them. And what inspires me in doing it, will be my father always.. He taught me whatever you choose to do in your life always do it with your complete heart and soul. So I have always tried to give my 100% to whatever profession I have served in. And how could I not justify my being when I m blessed to work in my passion turned into profession. Now when I look back I see Hoe much I’ve grown in these three year and definitely see myself growing each passing day. 5. What makes you Happy? Everything around me makes me happy.. The plants, animals, nature, people, travel I mean almost everything. 6. If you feel you are different, what is it that makes you different This question is my favourite one.. I am from a small town in Punjab, a Pathankot. I got married at an early age of 22 year. Which was at that time my chosen decision.. Started working very early in my life from the age of 18 when I was in college..I have always been blessed in my personal n professional life. But I always felt that I was a misfit to the society I was in. So I always used to talk less and socially move around very less. Now when I look back and think what made me feel different was my thought process where I was never ready to settle in life in what I had . Always felt there is much more I deserve and I can do in life. Always has a larger picture in my canvas of life and today here I am ... Working in the Industry since 2107, settled well.. worked in almost 20 commercials which includes International Campaigns like Singapore Tourism, Three Movies, More than 10 serials, Webseries and Bollywood films. 7.Whom do you look upto personally & Professionally? Always my Parents . Especially my father And I take a responsibility to carry on his legacy. 8.What is the one thing people would be surprised to know about you That’s a funny question and made me laugh... It’s that I am married and a mother of one grown up son. 9.What do you want to say to those listening then? I would just say Firstly Age is just a number. It is never late in life to learn something new , change your profession anything you may want to do . Just believe in you and do it. Yes surly I believe that Our comfort zone just kills us. So to achieve big you’ll have to take risks in life. And surly there is no replacement to Hardwork and Karma. So be Passionate Be Good. 10. Every Movie has a twist that changes the entire storyline of the movie. Did you have a twist of that sort in life? If yes, what is it? ( Any incident that impacted you the most) Yes I can never forget this month of June 2016. As I said earlier 2016 was the year when things started changing in my life when I did Mrs India and I also said I felt I was a misfit in the society I was in . So in support to both these statements.. let me tell you one thing I am a spiritual person and I strongly believe in energies and vibes... so before my Mrs India Finale In June 2016 O landed on this piece of land call “Nisarga “ the Osho Asharam and that is where I felt.. “This is the where I belong to.” I got many answers to almost all my questions of life. That experience just made me clear and I think I was just becoming limitless after that... I don’t know but all big things Just happened in my life .. I never planned them . 11 .If you were asked to describe your life in 5 sentences how would you do it? My life .. Haha... that too in 5 sentences is difficult task for me .. but let me try My life is all about my family always. I feel, I am a giver always in terms of love.. I was just made to love everything around me. My life is surly limitless I think there is still so much to do in life. My life is for my people.. I love to serve people with love, care , attention whenever I can. The best thing of my life is My Son and My family .. I am blessed! 12 What is success according to you? How do you measure Success in surly not some Trophy we have to get from someone. It is the combination of positive thinking and positive action that leads us to success. And I said before Our thought process plays a vital role in life. Think Wise ,Choose Wisely. I think there is no measure to success. Work hard and enjoy success everyday ЁЯШК 13 What do you aspire to be/ what are your aspirations I aspire to be always remembered by people as Mridula Oberoi.
