नई दिल्ली, 8 जून। दिल्ली में पहलवानों के प्रदर्शन के दौरान उनके साथ पुलिस के धक्कामुक्की और डिटेन करने के तरीके पर डब्लूएचआरओ ने पुलिस कमीश्नर संजय अरोडा को पत्र लिखा है। साथ ही ये मांग की है कि उच्च अधिकारी सुनिश्चित करें कि धरने प्रदर्शन व न्याय की मांग के दौरान उनके मानव अधिकारों का उल्लंघन न हो। इस पर पुलिस मुख्यालय से आए जवाब में कहा गया है इस पत्र में किए गए अनुरोध को स्पेशल कमीश्नर ला एंड आर्डर को भेज दिया गया है।

वर्ल्ड ह्यूमन राइटस ओर्गेनाइजेशन के चेयरमैन योगराज शर्मा ने मीडिया को बयान जारी करके बताया कि डब्लूएचआरओ के लीगल हैड एडवोकेट सन्नी सचदेवा ने गत 29 मई को पत्र लिखकर कहा था कि देश के हर नागरिक को उसके मानव अधिकार व मौलिक अधिकार है। पुलिस अपनी कार्यवाही में ये सुनिश्चित करें कि उनके मानव अधिकारों का उल्लंघन न हो। पुलिस इस पत्र पर संज्ञान लेते हुए गंभीरता जताई। डब्लूएचआर को एक फोन करके भी आश्वासन दिया और इसके बारे 8 जून को एक मेल भेज कर जवाब भी भेजा है जिसमें उन्होने विषय को स्पेशल कमीश्नर ला एंड आर्डर को इस विषय को सौंप दिया है। डब्लूएचआर के चेयरमैन योगराज शर्मा ने उचित कार्यवाही करने पर पुलिस कमीश्नर का आभार जताया है।

Kota stone from Makarana, Agra, Kota, and Jaisalmer was used in the construction of the temple premises. The Geeta Bhawan to the north of the temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Artificial landscape and cascading waterfalls add to the beauty of the temple. The main temple houses statues of Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi. The left side temple shikhar (dome) houses Devi Durga, the goddess of Shakti, the power. Mercedes-Benz India is likely to update the C-Class with a bigger 2.0-litre petrol engine as revealed in its latest brochure. Dubbed the C 200, it replaces the older 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. The C 200 is currently available in two variants: Prime and Progressive. It could go on sale once the nationwide lockdown has been lifted
The revised company brochure reveals that the luxury sedan’s new 2-litre BS6-compliant turbo petrol engine could develop 204PS, a 16PS increment over the older 1.5-litre engine. It could be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that provides drive to the rear wheels. It also has paddle shifters if you want to take matters into your own hands.
The list of features in the C 200 could remain identical to the current model. Feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, LED High-Performance headlamps, 64-colour ambient lighting, LED tail lamps, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and active parking assist. The luxury sedan gets a trackpad on the central console to control the infotainment. For driver accessibility, touchpads have been provided on the steering wheel.
 Last year, the Progressive trim saw a few additions to its list of features such as wireless charging, memory function for the driver and passenger seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Midline sound system with 9 speakers.

 Drink driving has been a major concern for the policymakers across the world as this has been the reason behind many fatal road accidents. A study bu Perth-based Curtin University claims that with the growing introduction of autonomous vehicles, the drink driving rate can be reduced.

Leon Booth, lead author and research associate in School of Psychology at Curtin University, said, "By removing the need for a driver, the autonomous vehicles were expected to substantially reduce rates of drink-driving." However, the study also claims that the benefit might come with an unintended consequence in the form of binge drinking, as the autonomous vehicles offer more convenient transport option.

The study further says that ride-sharing in autonomous vehicles would play a key role in reducing drink driving. Also, young people will be significantly contributing to this behaviour change.

Across the world, several automakers are currently working on self-driving vehicles. In a study published earlier, Gartner forecasted that there would be more than 7.40 lakh autonomous vehicles on roads across the world by 2023, up from 137,129 units in 2018 and 332,932 units in 2019.

According to the study conducted by Curtin University, the autonomous vehicles would be available to the mass market around the world by mid-2020. Simone Pettigrew, a professor from School of Psychology at Curtin University and The George Institute for Global Health, said, “Once autonomous vehicles become readily available they could be used as a means of facilitating out-of-home alcohol consumption and more frequent bouts of heavy drinking.”

He also added that the introduction of autonomous vehicles will pose a complex challenge to policymakers across the world.

San Francisco: Electric Vehicle (EV) maker Tesla has posted a video on its YouTube channel, showing its engineers are working on designing ventilators from Tesla Model 3 parts.

In the video, Tesla's engineers show off two versions of the ventilator, a prototype model with its components laid out across a desk, as well as a packaged model that shows how it might look when used by a hospital.

"We want to use parts that we know really well, we know the reliability of and they're available in volume," one of Tesla's engineers explains.

The ventilator uses multiple components from its cars, including the Model 3's infotainment screen, computer, as well as a part used in the Model S's suspension system.

Apart from Tesla, Ford is working with GE to expand ventilator production while also using its own resources to build vents, respirators and face shields. GM intends to build ventilators at an Indiana-based car factory.

As well as developing its own ventilator design, Musk is also purchasing FDA-approved "ventilators" and shipping them to hospitals that need them.
 New York City Hospitals recently shared an image on Twitter thanking Musk and Tesla for delivering 40 ventilators to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.

However, according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the ventilators that Musk promised to make won't be ready in time for the coronavirus pandemic.

Triumph was supposed to introduce the 2020 Street Triple RS in India last month, but the launch was postponed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. Now, the British two-wheeler manufacturer has confirmed that it will be launching the updated naked streetfighter in the country on April 22, 2020.
Triumph will be announcing the motorcycle’s price on it official Twitter handle, and might as well commence online bookings after that, since dealerships are currently closed because of the ongoing country-wide lockdown. While the Street Triple RS is not an all-new bike, a lot has changed as compared to the outgoing model.
The bike continues to be powered by the 765 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple motor that continues to make 123 PS of maximum power at 11,700 rpm, while the peak torque output is up by 2 Nm and is now rated at 79 Nm at 10,800 rpm. The engines continue to be coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, along with an up/down quickshifter.
 The suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable Showa fork up front, and an Öhlins STX40 monoshock setup at the rear. The bike comes equipped with Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 tyres, and is fitted with Brembo M50 Monobloc brake callipers.
The overall styling remains the same, apart from a few subtle tweaks. The headlamp has slightly been restyled and is now integrated with LED DRLs that make it look sharper than before. The 2020 Street Triple RS also gets a redesigned visor, carbon-fiber treatment on the exhaust, satin metal heel guards. Also, the colour TFT display offered on the outgoing model has now been updated with Bluetooth connectivity, new graphics, MyTriumph connectivity features and GoPro controls as well.
Triumph Motorcycles currently retails the Street Triple RS at a base price of Rs 11.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and we expect the upcoming 2020 model to carry a similar price tag. Upon launch, the naked streetfighter will put up against the Kawasaki Z900, while it could also get a new rival in the form of the KTM ‘Super Scalpel’ 890 Duke R, which is speculated to be brought to the Indian market next year.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revealed in an interview with a different publication that the Japanese carmaker will be working on introducing hybrid cars in the country starting from 2022. As of now, the carmaker offers two petrol-hybrid cars in India, namely Vellfire MPV and the Camry.
Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “You’ll see the hybrid cars come way down the line, closer to 2022. By 2025, I don’t know how much of our portfolio might be non-hybrid and going towards smaller vehicles.”
When asked if Toyota’s future plans include fully electric vehicles, Mr Kirloskar said that “The Toyota hybrid architecture is common with the full hybrid or the plug-in hybrid, which has a bigger battery or a hydrogen vehicle where the engine is replaced by fuel cell or a pure EV.” He also claimed that the company feels that India still has 60-70% coal fired power-plants and that he believes that hybrids are far cleaner than EVs.
In September 2017, Suzuki Motor Corporation laid the foundation stone of its first dedicated lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant in Hansalpur, Gujarat. The plant has been set up jointly between Suzuki Motor, Toshiba and Denso to make electric and hybrid cars in India for global use. As a part of the joint venture between Toyota and Suzuki, the former is also expected to invest in the battery plant.
In contrast, Toyota feels that hydrogen is the future of vehicles, since the cost of producing hydrogen is reducing, and a lot of hydrogen is available in the world. However, there are still a few complications related to compressing hydrogen, as well as the cost of the fuel cell and other expensive materials used in the fuel cell. Nonetheless, Toyota confirmed that it believes that hydrogen fuelled cars are the future, and the company is trying to find new substitute materials for fuel cells.

Toyota will be sharing hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technologies with Maruti Suzuki, in which the HEV systems, engines and batteries will be locally procured through the aforementioned plant. Toyota will supply its Hybrid Systems to Suzuki, which the latter will use across its lineup globally.

In 2017, Harley-Davidson had introduced an exclusive storage facility in India for the Armed Forces HOG Chapter. Through this initiative, the company extended assistance to the members of Armed Forces HOG Chapter by providing them with free and safe custody of motorcycles across selective Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country.

In November last year, Hyundai announced the highly-anticipated Santa Cruz pickup would go into production at the company’s plant in Montgomery, Alabama beginning in 2021 and here are the first clear shots showing the car undergoing test drives on a frozen lake in Lapland. At the time, the South Korean automaker didn’t say much about the model except it was aimed at Millennials who “want all the traditional attributes of a compact utility vehicle, but need the day-to-day versatility of an open bed.”
That isn’t much to go on and it’s been almost five years since the concept was introduced at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. The delay has provoked questions about whether or not the concept’s styling would carry over to the production model and now we have some answers. The pickup truck is dressed in heavy camouflage, but it appears larger than the concept as it features a crew cab configuration rather than an extended cab setup. That’s a significant change, but it isn’t too much of a surprise as Americans love crew cab pickups and models such as the Jeep Gladiator and Honda Ridgeline doesn’t even offer a single or extended-cab variant.
While the crew cab configuration is new, the rest of the design will apparently echo the concept. Some details may change, but the photos show a nearly vertical front fascia and rounded bodywork. We can also get a glimpse of sloping C-pillars and some angular accents on the doors. Both are nods to the concept, but unfortunately, there isn’t much else we can make out.
Little is known about the pickup and there have been conflicting reports on whether the Santa Cruz will be based on the Tucson or Santa Fe. However, given that the Santa Fe is also produced in Alabama, it seems like a natural candidate. If that’s the case, the Santa Cruz could be offered with two four-cylinder engines including an entry-level 2.4-litre unit developing 185bhp and 241Nm of torque. India Yamaha Motor had launched the Fascino 125 FI in December 2019, along with Ray ZR 125 FI and Street Rally 125 FI. The introduction of these three products marked the entry of the two-wheeler manufacturer into the country's 125cc scooter segment. However, the Fascino was already a popular name by then, having been present in India since 2015. So India Yamaha Motor upped the ante by not only equipping the Fascino with a more powerful engine, but bringing in major style updates with greater focus on the younger generation. Below are all the important details you need to know about the new Yamaha Fascino 125 FI.

Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Engine

The new Fascino 125 FI is powered by a BS6-compliant, air-cooled, 4-stroke, fuel-injected, 125cc engine that delivers 8.2PS and 9.7Nm of peak torque. The mill is mated to a V-belt automatic transmission. Earlier, the Fascino was available with a BS4-compliant, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 113cc engine that made 7.1PS and 8.1Nm of maximum torque and was paired with a CVT. India Yamaha Motor has now discontinued its entire 113cc scooter range. The Stop and Start System in the new Fascino 125 FI stops the engine when the vehicle is idling thereby saving fuel, while the Smart Motor Generator System aids in a quieter motor start. In comparison to the previous model, the Fascino 125 FI's power output and fuel economy are higher by 30 per cent and 16 per cent, respectively.

The new Fascino 125 FI comes with a telescopic front suspension and unit swing at the rear. It gets tubeless tyres (12-inch front and 10-inch rear). Depending on the variant, there is a disc or drum at the front, while the rear has a drum. The scooter is also equipped with Unified Brake System.

The Fascino 125 FI is equipped with features like concave-lens headlight, v-shaped tailight, analogue instrument panel, multi-function key switch, USB charger, side stand engine cut-off switch and metal fender.

So far as colour options are concerned, the Fascino 125 FI gets as many as seven. They are Vivid Red, Yellow Cocktail, Cyan Blue, Matte Blue, Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue and Suave Copper.

Mumbai: MahaMetro ropes in KineticGreen to provide electric rickshaws for providing last mile connectivity for commuters. Rides can be booked through a mobile application, the company said in a statement.

As a pilot project, the e-rickshaw service will be available to commuters at six metro stations in Nagpur at a cost of Rs 10 per ride. MahaMetro Nagpur is in the process of installing charging stations at all their metro stations for these vehicles.

“At MahaMetro we always have a sensitive approach towards environment, therefore, our Rail Projects are one of the greenest projects in India with up to 65% energy to come from solar panels,” said Brijesh Dixit, managing director of MahaMetro.

 A Kinetic Green spokesperson said that easy availability of last mile connectivity options will also help increase the popularity of metro rail. “With this MoU we will be starting with a pilot batch of 20 vehicles and then eventually we will ramp to 15 vehicles per station,” said Sulajja Firodia Motwani, founder and chief executive of Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd.

Passenger vehicle sales figures for the month of March 2020 are out, and they don’t make for pretty reading. And that’s the case across the board – right from Maruti Suzuki to Hyundai and Mahindra, carmakers have suffered a big hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant 21-day nationwide lockdown. Now, Tata Motors has reported that its passenger vehicle sales fell by a massive 68 percent in March, with the company having sold just 5,676 units compared to 17,810 units sold in March 2019.
Tata Motors’ March sales figure is also less than half of what it was in February. 5,676 units is a drop of 54.33 percent compared to the 12,430 units Tata sold in February 2020. This substantial drop in sales has also had a telling impact on the company’s final sales figure for FY2020, which stands at 1,31,197 units, a drop of 38 percent compared to the 2,10,143 units Tata Motors sold in FY2019.
Commenting on the company’s sales in March, Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd. said, “Vehicle sales were affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent nationwide lockdown. However, the customer response to our newly launched models – the Altroz – and the refreshed BS6 range is encouraging. Our BS4 vehicle stock is near zero in the entire network.”
Tata Motors will also only share wholesale and retail figures on a quarterly basis henceforth, unlike the monthly updates it currently provides, in a bid to help “investors to focus on the long-term drivers of the business and avoid needless short-term volatility.”
Tata Motors started off 2020 in a big way, launching its BS6-compliant range alongside the Altroz hatchback at a big-ticket event in Mumbai, The brand also garnered plenty of attention at Auto Expo 2020 with the HBX concept, Sierra EV concept, the 7-seat Gravitas SUV and the updated 2020 Harrier. The company is all set to launch the production-spec HBX mini-SUV later this year, along with the Gravitas and the BS6-compliant Hexa Safari Edition. 
Under its 'New Forever' philosophy, Tata Motors plans to introduce model updates and refreshes every couple of months, and the carmaker will be banking heavily on that to bounce back from a setback as big as this one.

The CNG variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has just been launched. The CNG option is available in two trims – Magna, which is priced at Rs 6.63 lakh, and Sportz, which is priced at Rs 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Under the hood lies the same BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine from the standard model, which produces 69hp and 95Nm of torque when run on CNG. These figures are 14hp and 19Nm lower than what the unit makes in petrol mode. The CNG versions are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of equipment, there is no change when compared to the petrol Grand i10 Nios. This means the Magna version gets central locking, speed-sensing door locks, day/night IRVM, keyless entry, tilt adjustable steering, rear AC vents, 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth support, and more. The Sportz version additionally gets features like projector fog lights, reverse parking camera, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. However, the Grand i10 Nios is the only offering in the segment to have three powertrain options – petrol, diesel and CNG, with none of the above mentioned competitors have CNG versions.

The Hyundai Venue might have been on sale for less than a year, but it’s already got a significant mechanical change – its 1.4-litre diesel engine has made way for the carmaker’s newer 1.5-litre engine for the BS6 era. While prices and power figures for the updated Venue diesel have been known for some time now, we’ve just got our hands on the all-important fuel economy number for the new engine. The Venue BS6 diesel has an ARAI-certified fuel economy figure of 23.3kpl. For reference, the BS4 Venue diesel delivered 23.7kpl.
For prospective buyers, the marginal 0.4kpl drop in economy should be easy to digest given that the 1.5 engine is 10hp (to 100hp) and 20Nm (to 240Nm) more powerful than the old 1.4 unit.  
The 23.4kpl economy figure also makes the Venue diesel the most efficient of the diesel compact SUVs

If you’ve had your heart set on the MG Gloster, here's some good news for you. The big MG will go on sale around the festive season as planned. In a #LiveWithAutocar session on Instagram, Rajeev Chaba, President and MD, MG Motor India touched on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on launch programmes but confirmed the Gloster SUV is on schedule. “Luckily, we had kept some margin with us and it has been delayed, but it [the Gloster launch] will still be before Diwali. We are on track,” Chaba said. Over the course of the session, Chaba also revealed that the Hector Plus will come in June.    
The big and bold Gloster got its first India showing at Auto Expo 2020 earlier this year. Longer than even the full-size Toyota Land Cruiser LC200, the Gloster will be pitched as an upgrade from the current crop of ladder-frame 7-seat SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and  Mahindra Alturas G4. The Gloster will be assembled at MG’s Halol plant and is expected to be priced in the region of Rs 45 lakh.  
The Gloster will boast a massive cabin with loads of room for all seven passengers. The MG SUV will be big on features too with LED adaptive headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a gesture-controlled tailgate and three-zone air-conditioning expected to be part of the package. The model displayed at Auto Expo 2020 also featured electrically operated rear doors which would be a unique inclusion. 
For the Indian market, MG is expected to introduce its own in-house-developed, 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers 218hp and 480Nm of torque. The big SUV, however, will initially be launched with a manual gearbox, with an 8-speed automatic likely to be introduced at a later date.
