Dr. Srinivas, General Secretary of AIIMS, RDA had been suspended after exposing the reality of fake N95 masks provided to the doctors. He had disclosed the monumental inefficiency on the part of AIIMS administration and ministry of health and their failure to provide substandard N95 masks and PPE kit and was therefore expelled unconstitutionally from the RDA.
This is the second incident during the coronavirus pandemic in which the voice of our frontline warriors has been suppressed. Two months ago, same thing had taken place in Rohtak, PGI Hospital where a doctor who tweeted her concern regarding failure of Khattar government to provide N95 masks and PPE kits and proper equipments to the doctors, was made to delete the tweet. At one hand Mr. Narendra Modi Ji says to respect and honour our frontline warriors, but on the other, his government is providing such fake equipments to the doctors and nurses and their voices are suppressed too.
The NSUI condemns such acts and we urgently request the AIIMS administration to take back the suspension of Dr. Srinivas from the RDA and to take the necessary steps required to help the doctors as they are our frontline warriors and provide them with appropriate equipments to fight during this pandemic.
