AAJ KI DELHI / INDIAN NEWS ONLINE :
NEW DELHI, June 1, 2020---Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of squandering the tax payers’ money for self-publicity to the tune of Rs 2500 to 3000 crores, and is now seeking Rs 5000 crore from the Central Government for the payment of staff salary. Ch. Anil Kumar said that if this wasteful expenditure had been curtailed with better financial management of the exchequer, it would have come in handy for the Government now when revenues from tax collections were minimal due to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Kejriwal relaxed the lockdown rules resulting in Corona cases going up substantially every day. He said that Kejriwal had announced at a press conference that he was following the guidelines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while opening up everything, including odd-even criterion for shops in markets, but without enforcing the lockdown regulations. But as the Chief Minister of Delhi, he did not seem to have used his own wisdom while unlocking Delhi.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Kejriwal sealed the borders of Delhi without realizing that many people travel to Delhi and vice versa for work, thus creating chaos at the borders, and now asking feedback from the people, though he had not bothered to discuss the matter with his own MLAs and the Opposition parties when he sealed the borders. He wondered what was the logic in sealing the borders when everything is open in Delhi?
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Kejriwal seems to be a totally confused man, not knowing how to contain the fast spread of the Corona virus. He said that when the liquor shops were opened and the Government imposed a steep Corona tax on each bottle, Kejriwal did not take any inputs from the people. Now that the situation has gone out of the hands of the Delhi Government, Kejriwal is seeking the opinion of the people so that he can make the people scapegoats for the failures and incompetence of the Kejriwal Government.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Social Media Department put out a #FailKejriwalSarkar which was trending on Twitter for five hours. The people of Delhi reacted to the Tweet on the failures of the Kejriwal Government earnestly as around 20,000 people re-Tweeted it to show their angst against the failures of the Government.
